Overview and Storylines
Duke Dan Dalo of Wa is the Administrator of Wa in the Kingdom of Piyse.
He is a 55 year old high-born Solfrey.
He's notable for being the master of Soofi the Ji and assaulting Weilan during Peizhi's Scorean.
He was sent to the Scorean to represent the King of Piyse, who's an ally of the King of Mireota. Though as the King cannot come himself, he waits on no other sovereign, Dan Dalo was sent as his rep.

Regardless of the outcome, the Minister of Commerce is retiring and the next candidate wants to not renew the resource sharing deal they have with Len and let it expire in 2 years. Dan Dalo offers to oppose his candidacy if he gets to borrow Weilan for 2 years. In return, he'll trade you Soofi to keep.
- A Ji is not a slave, but someone you are honored to take care of for life. Of course you recoil.
- You reflect on this being how it works in high nobility. This sort of trading is how nobles get close to one another, build trust. In some sense, this offer is him trying to be nice, to make friends, invite and integrate you into his world.
- No real consequence decided yet for your decision here ofc, except for the obvious part where you get Soofi and lose Weilan if you agree.
During the Piyse rebellion he spoke up to agree to submit to you as the King during the rebellion's concluding meeting. He has this clever (but incorrect idea), having put 2 and 2 together, seeing you with the Queen Peizhi and the Premier having "been revealed to be a Mireotan spy" that it was all a Mireotan scheme to fracture Piyse and cause a civil war, letting Mireota conquer it with ease. He's determined to avoid that outcome and thinks with you in charge of Piyse it would still be a strong nation.
During the rebellion, the King of Piyse was shocked that the King of Mireota, with whom he had a 40 year good friendship with, would betray him for the upstart rebel Count of Len. Obviously, King of Piyse fails to understand that the King of Mireota is just a puppet. Dan Dalo sees this as the winds turning against the old king.
Afterwards he gives you Soofi as a gift to show friendship if you didn't accept his offer to trade for Weilan.
